Frauen helfen Frauen e. V.
The charitable association Frauen helfen Frauen e. V. was established in 1985. Since 2010, the advice center for girls has operated under the roof of Frauen helfen Frauen using the rooms of the women’s advice center. The overarching goals are an improvement of the life situation of girls and young women, the reduction of prejudices and discriminations towards girls in family, society and profession as well as the reduction of fears in girls to early accept support in difficult situations. Training courses for specialists (for example, teachers) in the form of information events, conferences and advanced training on the topics of eating disorders, sexualized and domestic violence complete the offer of the advice center for girls.
Agentur Strothmann supports the work of the advice center for girls.
Himmel un Ääd e. V.
The ecumenical café Himmel-un-Ääd in Bergisch Gladbach-Schildgen is a meeting place for conversation, encounters and networking. For cultural exchange and neighbourly thoughts over a cup of fair trade coffee. Agentur Strothmann supports the project by graphically reworking the initiative’s flyers, visiting cards and newsletters as well as its logo and website.

Kunstmuseum Villa Zanders
The art museum Villa Zanders in Bergisch Gladbach is a location steeped in tradition and an integral part of the city’s cultural life. Since 1967, the former family mansion of the manufacturers Zanders has been owned by the city of Bergisch Gladbach. After a comprehensive renovation, the art gallery has offered temporary exhibitions with a focus on contemporary art on a regular basis since 1992. It covers about 1500 square meters on three floors.
Elke Strothmann is member of the Association’s board of the museum’s development association Galerie + Schloss e. V. In 2017, the jubilee year of Villa Zanders, Agentur Strothmann also sponsored the exhibition “Freunde treffen sich – revisited”, which showed the extensive oeuvre of the artist friends Wolfgang Niedecken, Rainer Gross and Manfred Boecker.
THEAS Theater
Theatre is dynamite for life. Instilling the spark of enthusiasm, experienced teachers show children and adults how to act according to theatrical education aspects. Acting has a very positive influence on the development of children and teenagers. THEAS Theater uses the creative power of acting to strengthen one’s expressive force and self-confidence, to remove fears, to experience the “self” by bodywork, to further social interaction and so much more!
Max Bruch Musik-Festival – closed
The Max Bruch Musik-Festival Bergisch Gladbach 2013 was a festival with oeuvres of the romantic composer Max Bruch. Apart from Max Bruch’s music, some works of famous colleagues were performed, as well. His friendship with Maria Zanders as well as his love for the City of Bergisch Gladbach were the basis of various framework event.
Agentur Strothmann was in charge of the organisation of this festival and – in addition – of media relations and marketing.
ReimBerg Slam
The only poetry slam in Bergisch Gladbach was initiated by Agentur Strothmann in 2010 and successfully carried out for more than 2 years. In January 2013 Agentur Strothmann handed over the management of the event completely to Q1 Jugendkulturzentrum, which now independently carries out the poetry slam according to the initial concept.
